“It’s your home. It should be designed perfectly around the way you want to live and how you want to feel.”
Eleni Lambros graduated from New York's prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in 1992. She worked at the fashion houses of Christian Francis Roth and Byron Lars before starting her own design firm, Eleni Lambros Couture, where she designed one-of-a-kind bridal and evening gowns.
Eleni's work has appeared on ABC Eyewitness News, WB11 Morning News, and the Oxygen and Pure Oxygen networks. She was featured in New York Magazine's Wedding Issue "Best of New York" for three consecutive years, as well as in Elegant Bride, Grace Ormonde Wedding Styles, New York Post, Avenue, and Quest, among others. Where Wear Magazine said it best, referring to Eleni as "your fashion fairy godmother," because there's nothing more important to her than making her clients' dreams come true.
That's the magic Eleni now brings
to her Long Island interior design clients.
When Eleni and her husband gutted their Long Island home in 2007, she used her fashion and design expertise to plan the space from the studs up. As an acclaimed designer of custom gowns, she paid close attention to every detail. The result was a beautiful home perfectly tailored to their lives.
From that point on, Eleni was hooked on residential interior design. She was so inspired that she left the world of haute couture to dedicate herself entirely to interiors. Eleni first designed her friends' homes across Nassau County and the North Shore. Soon, they were referring her to their friends, too. Eleni also spent time designing high-end kitchens with The Breakfast Room in Manhasset, NY. And in 2016, she officially opened the doors to Eleni Lambros Interiors, a luxury interior design studio serving Long Island and the greater New York area.
Eleni's distinctive approach to interior design stems from her background in fashion. She creates spaces that fit each of her clients uniquely and personally. Through a discovery process, Eleni uncovers details that are often missed by other interior designers. And it's these details that make your home a perfect fit for you.
"I realized the highly personalized approach I used in fashion was new in the interior design world. I ask my clients questions that reveal things they wouldn't think to tell their designer. This takes the design process way beyond the visual. It allows me to create a home that will enhance the way you live. That's what makes me a LifeStylist. And it makes a significant difference in how people feel when I design their home."
Why would you spend time and money on a professional interior designer on Long Island if you're left with a beautiful house that doesn't suit the way you live?
Your home should be designed around you and your vision.
But what if you don't have a vision? Or maybe you have many ideas and don't know how to connect them.
That's where Eleni's approach makes a difference. When you meet with Eleni, she'll ask you questions that reveal details about you and your personality. She'll use these details to create an environment that captures your visual style and is tailored to your lifestyle — a beautiful custom home design that inspires you.
Eleni may ask you about a place you walked into that gave you the feeling you'd like to have in your home. Maybe it was a hotel or spa that felt serene or inspiring. Or a restaurant with an exhilarating vibe or energy. She may ask about your travels or the activities you enjoy. Eleni tunes in to how you want to feel in your home by approaching it from different angles.
Then, using a technique she adapted from her work in fashion, Eleni creates your Visual Identity™. It captures your personal style and how you want to feel in your home. You'll know Eleni gets you because you'll feel understood and excited when you look at your Visual Identity™.
"There's always a powerful reaction when I present my clients with their Visual Identity™. It captures who they are in a way they've never seen before."
But the look and feel is just one part of your unique, personal story.
How you live, or want to live, is equally important.
Because if your home interior isn't designed around the way you want to live, you could end up feeling like a stranger in your own home.
When you speak with Eleni, she'll uncover certain things about you that you might not think to mention to your interior designer. She could ask you about the first 10 minutes after you come home at the end of the day, or those moments before you leave in the morning. Do they feel effortless or stressful? Eleni discovers your patterns and what is and isn't working for you.
This is important. You may not be aware of patterns that don't work well for you because you've grown so used to them. They can affect your life in almost every part of your home. Eleni redesigns these areas so they work better for you. Beautifully.
Eleni's clients across Long Island, from the Gold Coast to the Hamptons, say they feel more at home than they ever have before. You deserve the same experience. Eleni's signature approach makes it happen, leaving you free to do what you love because it's what she loves to do.
